Directions:
Peel onions carefully, leaving the ends intact. Trim ends if needed. Slice in half crosswise. Toss with oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange on a baking sheet cut side down and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, or until onions are soft but not mushy, turning if necessary.
